Looking ahead to Thanksgiving, we are super excited for the arrival of HERITAGE TURKEYS from Frank Reese of Good Shepherd Poultry Ranch in Kansas.


Good Shepherd Poultry Ranch heritage turkeys are pasture raised, slow growing, and antibiotic/hormone free.  Frank Reese maintains the oldest continuously bred flock of heritage turkeys in America – the Good Shepherd Poultry Ranch is not only a model of responsible farming, but his turkeys are also delicious – they bring a character of flavor and juiciness that cannot be matched.  Heritage turkeys are richly flavored, with exceptional dark meat and less breast meat than conventional turkeys. 


The flock includes Standard Bronze, Bourbon Red, Black and Narragansett.


They are available by pre-order in 3 size ranges:


Small – 8-10lbs - $99

(serves 7-9 people with no leftovers; serves 4-6 people with leftovers)


Medium – 10-12lbs - $119

(serves 9-11 people with no leftovers; serves 6-8 people with leftovers)


Large – 12-14lbs - $139

(serves 11-13 people with no leftovers; serves 8-10 people with leftovers)



While Thanksgiving is still a few weeks away, there are only a limited number of these exceptional turkeys available.
